What's In The Closet?

Hey everyone! As promised here's the outfit I put together with my gorgeous top from Closet Clothing/Brand Nation....

All Photography By Daniel Chesterton
The top is very well made and a good price at £24! It is something you could dress up or down so is definitely something worth investing in.

I love the contrast in the two different fabrics, they work really nicely together, I think its the quilting detail that makes it work so well.

Coat: F&F
Top: Closet Clothing/Brand Nation
Shorts: River Island
Tights: Topshop
Shoes: New Look
Bag: Carlo Pazolini
Watch: DKNY

Let me know what you guys think!

So my beautiful top arrived from Closet Clothing/Brand Nation this week and I love it! I'll be working it into an outfit later on in the week but here is a little preview at what it looks like...

Now it's time for my second outfit from Skull Accessories and the Beautiful Bracelet Shop... let me know what you think of this one!

All photography by Daniel Chesterton

I'm loving all the things I was sent for this, but this time my favourite has to be the scarf, I'm just in love with it. I've worked it into every outfit since and I think it'll definitely be living in it for weeks to come. It feels so soft and silky and I adore the colours! I've had so many comments on it from friends and random people, it's definitely worth buying.

Preview: Skulling Around

So this week's haul was a big one! The guys from Skull Accessories and the Beautiful Bracelet Shop sent me a massive bundle of some gorgeous products, which I'll be styling up later on in the week. Take a look at some of the goodies I've received...

Loving the little compact mirror :) Seem to have quite a collection of these now! haha

I think the print on the top is really unique, I love how the illustrator has made skulls out of pineapples, it's not something I've seen before and even though I'm a designer myself I don't actually think I'd have even thought about it, I think it's been brilliantly done and works fantastic as a repeat.

So many pretty bracelets, can't wait to put them with an outfit! So happy I received some earrings as well, I normally ignore my ears as I generally can't wear earrings for very long anymore but it's something I want to start getting used to again, and I just love these cute little skull drops, they look really pretty in and they're not too heavy!

My favourite bracelet has to be the Eiffel Tower one towards the bottom of the picture below, although you can't see it so well on here so you'll just have to wait till my next post, when I'll be wearing it with an outfit :)

All but one of these bracelets are from the Beautiful Bracelet Shop... and are all reasonably priced. The black and gold skull bracelet is from Skull Accessories like the rest of the accessories I've received.

This was a nice little surprise, something I'll now have to take off my Christmas list haha, this is actually a manicure kit!

Its small and compact and I love the fact it comes in a little case, its going to be brilliant for holidays.

Now for my favourite item! Loving these scarves, in particular the pink one, I know exactly what I can put with this and I hope you'll love it too when you see it. Both of these scarves are fantastic value for money, so why not get yourself one?

Please check out and there are some beautiful finds there!

Remember to come back later on in the week to see how I style the items and what they look like in an outfit!

Fashion Shoot: Behind The Scenes

So as you all know by now I have a full time job as a Fashion Stylist, so this week I thought I'd take you behind the scenes to see what we get up to and what its like as a stylist.

It's not always as glamorous as you think, but that doesn't mean it isn't fun! This week we wanted a very specific set, which would cost a fortune to have made and as we have a strict budget we decided to build it ourselves!

It may have been cardboard and it might not be that neat but just you wait till we get it in photoshop! :) besides we had great fun doing it!!!

Here is Roy our grumpy photographer busy cutting out...

And he's me having a bit of fun with the already cut out trees.

Here's my clothes rail ready for the shoot, lots of gorgeous outfits! Can you spot everything you like?

All my jewellery ready to go!

Then it was time to get our beautiful model from Nemesis Model Agency Manchester Sarah Bannister ready. For the make up at the beginning we was going for a more natural look, and we built on top of it during the day.

One shot all done and ready for the edit, what do you think of my styling? Would you wear this?

Another, loving this, it's going to be great for social media... which bag would you choose to go with this outfit?

And now you can see what we were making with the cardboard... we love these shots can't wait to get them in photoshop! I can promise you it looks better on the actual camera!

And it seems little red riding hood showed up! Perfect for our winter wonderland theme :)

Finally some finished edits....

When I can access the rest I'll post the other finished photos up too!

The team for the day was...
Photographer: Roy Bridgetwood
Make Up Artist: Kat Horrocks
and obviously the stylist was me!!
(All the names are linked up if you want to take a look at them)

Dressing The Corrie Girls!

Hey everyone! I know it been while, but I'm trying to get back into it... the full-time stylist and blogger job has been getting in the way of my own blog, but now I've found the balance and I'm back! YAY!

I've been wanting to show you all this for a while now, but just haven't found the time. My new job as a stylist has given me the chance to dress some of the Coronation Street girls! What's Coronation Street some of you may ask? It's a British soap that's on TV at prime time for 3 nights a week.

Anyway I've sent out clothes for them to wear on screen and off screen and here's some of the first images...

The first one is Katie McGlynn, also seen on Waterloo Road a long with a variety of other shows...

For Katie I sent the stunning Tuxedo Dress from Missy Empire which unfortunately is now out of stock and won't be returning :(

The second on screen beauty, is a fairly new character who came into the soap as Tina's best friend, Tisha Merry...

Both girls were out in Manchester celebrating Gay Pride on the Coronation Street float.

She is wearing a Beyonce inspired dress also from Missy Empire found here: Beyonce Dress
I thought it showed off her gorgeous curves brilliantly and she looked stunning :)

Hopefully over the next few weeks I may be able to access more images, so you can see who else I've dressed on and off the screen. It's such a fun thing to do, I must admit I was nervous at first but once you get that first one the rest just comes so easily, I absolutely adore styling and I hope you like what I've done so far to! :)

If you would like to find out more about both girls you can find their Twitter pages below.

Missy Empire: Selfie Stick Shenanigans

A few days ago my boss told me we were going to get Selfie Sticks in on a trial... I'm not really one for the selfie trend so I was a little bit cautious over getting them in. Well they arrived today complete with a bluetooth remote and I've not put it down all day!
Wondering what a selfie stick is? It's a extendable stick/monopod that you can attach to your mobile phone, which enables you to take selfie's from wider angles allowing to get a whole group of friends in to! :)

We were asked to test it and take some promo silly shots with it, and its been the funniest day of work so far! Here's a few from inside work...

We may have switched into dresses from work for the promo shots...
My dress you can see here: Bloom Black Floral Skater Dress
Jess's dress is here: Trixy Aztec Swing Dress
And my biker jacket is part of coming soon Autumn/Winter collection!

Oh and yes my leg is wrapped up in a leg splint, I have a dodgy knee thanks to a fall at my last job, on crutches at the moment, not fun!

This last one has gone up on our companies twitter haha.

The selfie stick is really easy to use, it packs down great to fit in your hand bag and I cen't help but think it would be fab for my holiday in September, no more accidents with cameras falling in the pool when your trying to get a group shot.

During the day we took it everywhere, we wanted to try and find its flaws so we knew what feedback to expect, it came to the wholesalers and B&Q. Take a look...

You'd think the amount we used it throughout the day, we would have found an issue, but the only one we've found is that the remote is not compatible with Snapchat, which is a little bit of a pain because I do love Snapchat.

However for a holiday or even just a day out I could still see it being quite a practical little gadget. You can take photographs of yourself with your partner including more of a landscape or landmark. It could be used to get a better angle on a stunning view. Or you could just use it like us and have a bit of a laugh with your friends :)

When we got back into work we had a lovely cake delivered to celebrate us reaching 5000 page likes on facebook, it was soooooo yummy! Although after one slice I did feel a little sick haha.

And we obviously then had to use the stick to take photos with the cake :)

And pull stupid faces.... hehe

If you want to buy your own stick and have some fun you can get it here: Missy Empire Selfie Stick

So yeah, eating cake and having a laugh made it such a hard day at work today! Haha. In all seriousness though we did get our daily duties done to we just had more fun doing it :)

well I know it's not like my usual post but I hope you enjoyed it and laughed at our silliness :)
