Special Delivery and Toiling

Much to my excitement a very special package arrived the other day... MY DIGITAL PRINTS! Yay! :D Had to wait till I could get into the studio to photograph it though as its to bit to big to lay out at home, didn't really have enough left over space in the studio either to be honest, its 3 meters by 1.5 meters. It's my previous images from the last post finally printed out onto polyester jersey - still feels lovely and soft though, very high quality fabric so you can't tell the difference :) But I had to have the polyester version so it could be colourset which means I can get it wet and it wont wash off or run :D Well chuffed! My band balance might not be after it cost me £170, but I don't care right now, I'm just super happy with how it came out :D  This section is of the images enlarged/repeated so I can turn them into the slouch top I showed you in a previous post. While I'm posting I figured I'd show you some more updates of the clothes I'm mak...

Digital Prints

So tomorrow is time to send off the digital prints, I figured I let you look at what I've done first... These to a both done using the glass brain I made, I photocopied it then scanned it in and turned the darkness up on it, to create this black brain. These are my glass buttons  - the background was created by taking a close up shot of the above black brain. This one reminds me of bubble wrap so I have sent a few of them to print so I can melt plastic and bubble wrap into them :) These are the buttons I said reminded me of 101 Dalmatians with the black outerlined buttons behind. I then played around with the transparency. This is one of my favourites! I just love it, its my curled buttons, I scanned them in and played around with the hue/saturation to bring out the blue colour more. I placed a gradient behind it. I then melted bubble wrap, took an unclose blurred photo of it in order to create this glitter/flare effect, I then played around with the transparency and pla...

Button's Almost Complete

Button Making almost complete... Here's all the finished ones, I love them all for different reasons, they're all so unique and they definitely fit with my sketchbook, so they'll fit nicely with my garments to when they're made, which I'll be getting into again this week again, I'll update you on my process :) These I think would maybe look nice on a necklace so I think I'll use them for that instead, which will be good for my photoshoot, I plan on doing a few necklaces with the left over buttons to. Coloured clay, not as dark as we'd expected but they still fit with my colour palette and I really like them These remind me of 101 Dalmatians haha, still love them though. Thinking of using these on the cape I'm going to make I think they'll fit best with the design, we'll see once its part made up. They're pure white so the flash blew them out but they're quite nice. BIG buttons! :D More coloured clay... ...
